Santenay "Les Charmes"

Presentation

Presentation
Located at the southern extremity of the Côte de Beaune, Santenay was known in Gallo-Roman times for its hot springs. The source "Santinae aquae" (healing waters) gave the village its name.
"Les Charmes" is located at the southwestern extremity of the commune, near the hamlet Santenay-le-Haut. Its name refers to the widespread presence of the hornbeam trees that once grew here.
